North Evia

Eventually the Coelho was right. In most cases the treasure lies in the courtyard of our house - which I never did bother to look. At this point raises the northern Evia, an early kilometers journey. Hills, picturesque villages, beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters, katagalana rivers and paths around the green, just two hours from Athens. And so long for us to see nature taking airplanes?
Perhaps the fault of the limited visibility, and perhaps the widespread perception that can not be a surprise is so close • will know. Perhaps again and have no particular significance what is to blame. Faced with images of such beauty analyses are unnecessary - and "because we had not come so long?" Is only an elusive thought.
Aniforizontas from Tripoli to St. John the Russian, the landscape becomes increasingly beautiful. Excursion framed by evergreen forests, as goes the way pyknonoun, and small surprises at every turn of the road. Wooden gefyrakia passes over rivers with crystal water, houses with red keramoskepes, outdoor stores that sell local honey. Do not leave northern Evia without buy honey.
From PROKOPI and then continuing north to the nature of the island celebrates. The aroma of pine accompany the path, the eye chortainei green images rotated constantly. Coniferous forests conceal traditional skarfalomenous on the slopes of the mainland, small chapels and monasteries distinguished behind the speed of the road, sources anavlyzoun crystal water.

A few kilometers north, left in the direction of the Lake. Two more villages, KOKKINOMILIA and Daphne, one last shift and the first panoramic image of the small city is ahead of us. Kapetanospita Traditional embrace a katagalano bay, with water so serene that barely seem to move.
The beach promenade of Lake offers endless walks, all hours of the day. The very architecture of the buildings, tavernas on the beach, cafes bustling with life day and night, the wooden benches in the pedestrian street beside the sea compose an image that will easily synagonizotan most popular islands of the country. Especially just after sunset, when the beach stained by the last light of day, the scene is so serene, almost dream-like.
Moving north to Edipsos, passing from the Times and Rovies with beautiful, endless beaches and the famous for their extremely tavernas Ilia. The Edipsos probably does not need specific recommendations. Famous for its curative sources, organized tours, brings many visitors throughout the year.

Barely two kilometers from here, the picturesque coastal settlement of St. Nicholas is worth a stop for ouzeri and fish restaurants serving fresh seafood by the sea, but also for romantic walks on the beach.
Just west, the peninsula of Lichadas gathered some of the most beautiful beaches of the island. The Gialtra, Gregolimano and Saint George combine the deep blue water with the green of the trees that reach almost to the sea. From the picturesque bay of St. George and vessels start making daily trips to young Lichadonisia, opposite the Cape Kinaion.
The Nisiotissa, N. Tower and Orei have also amazing beaches with golden sand and blue waters, while on the side of the Aegean event steal the Greek, with the successive, ammouderoys bays and huge, pine-clad beach of the Royal. After diving, you periplanitheite to omonyma villages, and then an attitude of coffee with a view.
Just down the popular beach of St. Anna, without making a cosmopolitan tourist, youthful and kefati, colorful pebbles and crystal clear waters, owes its reputation in organized camping running over several years.
More generally, all beaches on the island as long as you deserve to spend - not just to enjoy them, but also to discover your own favorite, isolated point. The biggest, however, surprised reserving the northern Evia to visitors in hiding hinterland.
On the road from Cherry Drymona to find a park amazing natural beauty. The paths, framed by a rare species of flora, spanning the length of 850 measures in order to reach a unique beauty waterfall, the water which filled a small green lake.
The dive is appropriate only for persons who have enough experience low water temperatures - the others are engaged in… frog spotting in the voices of sympathestaton amphibians living edges of the lake, or simply admire the landscape.
